Removal of Check Rails. Installation of concrete sleepers and new rail

Removal of check rail curves with radii of 167, 167, 158, 156.

Existing rails of the 57 type replaced by type 47 rail.

All the current timber sleepers will be replaced by "PY's" concrete sleepers at a spacing of 500mm.

The formation rehabilitation and ballast screening is done by hand. Track is re-laid to radii required within stringent temperature ranges.
